There are five principles that we follow when
it comes to identity systems and brand campaigns:
1.KEEP IT SIMPLE
A simple logo design allows for easy recognition and allows the logo to be versatile & memorable. Good logos feature something unique without being overdrawn.
2. MAKE IT MEMORABLE
Following closely behind the principle of simplicity, is that of memorability. An effective logo should be memorable and this is achieved by having a simple, yet, appropriate design.
3. KEEP IT TIMELESS
An effective logo is timeless – that is, it will endure the ages. Will the logo still be effective in 20 years?
4. MAKE IT VERSATILE
An effective logo should be able to work across a variety of mediums and applications. The logo should be functional. For this reason we design logos in vector format, to ensure that it can be scaled to any size. It also makes it easier for print houses to manage and manipulate.
5. KEEP IT APPROPRIATE
The logo should have elements appropriate for its intended purpose. We wouldn’t design a logo for a law firm using childish font with teddy bear holding a cup of tea.
